Mr. Gutierrez is Co-Founder and Co-President of NET Midstream, a private natural gas pipeline company that owns seven natural gas pipelines in Texas, including the nation’s largest export pipeline to Mexico.  The Company was founded in 1996 as a natural gas marketing and trading company, with a long-term vision to transform the business into a midstream pipeline company.  NET Midstream developed its first pipeline in 1999, and now owns and operates pipelines with 5 Bcf/d of transport capacity.  The Company’s latest addition, NET Mexico Pipeline, is a 42 and 48-inch diameter pipeline, completed in 2014, that delivers natural gas from south Texas to Mexico.  NET Midstream has long term banking relationships, including Wells Fargo, who leads the Company’s $200 MM revolver facility, and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, which lead a $665 MM project financing of NET Mexico.  In 2007, the Company sold 50% of its interests to its partner, ArcLight Capital Partners.

 

Prior to founding NET Midstream, Mr. Gutierrez held positions at Mobil Oil Corporation and Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America.  In addition to serving on the board of NET Midstream and its subsidiaries, Mr. Gutierrez serves on the board of the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, the President’s Advisory Board at the University of St. Thomas, and the board of the Samuel & Erasmus institute (SEi).  He received an MBA with Honors from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
